The fast growing and highly successful company soon acquired papst Motoren GmbH & Co. KG in 1992 and the Fan division of Alcatel at Landshut and came to be known as MVL (Motoren Ventilatoren Landshut GmbH. With ebm production facilities coming up in different parts of the world for better synergy, all these production facilities came under one brand name - "ebm-papst". Today ebm-papst Group has over 9800 employees and turnover in excess of one billion Euro. Having become a trendsetter in fan technology in the world market, EBM joined hands with the Kamdar family at Chennai, India, to set up a joint venture in India, ebm Nadi International Pvt. Ltd. with 51% equity by EBM and 49% by the Kamdar family. The state-of-the-art manufacturing facility was inaugurated by the Former President of India Sri R. Venkataraman on 27rd March 1996. The sales soon grew exponentially catering to the needs of Indian companies as well as multinationals located in India. With the continued and active support of ebm-papst, there is constant upgradation of the manufacturing facilities and staff members are trained to ensure that the quality of fans produced at ebm Nadi is at par with those produced by other factories of ebm papst in the rest of the world.
